You gotta understand that the horcdare fighting game community, specifically the MVC3 crowd, will buy it no matter what, just to stay competitive in the tournament scene. Same thing happened when Arcade Edition came out, although that one was at least released as a DLC expansion, or you could just get a disc version. And me being a horcdare Street Fighter fan, I would have probably given in and bought the disc version if it would have been disc only. Just to be able to stay competitive. How many people are still playing SFIV vanilla? no one. Same thing will happen when UMVC3 comes out. As much as Capcom is screwing the fans over with this one, they know the horcdare fans are gonna give because they do not want to be left behind.
I'm still not really sure how I feel about Microsoft mankig all the Halo games. On the one hand, I don't really think it will change that much. But on the other hand, I think maybe it won't feel the same without Bungie.
